Artist Statement
Terrified of the state the world is currently in and knowing that I have no way to majorly influence things, I tend to isolate myself. This anxiety-induced isolation has led me to feel out of place in the world. It is difficult for me to make new connections outside of my family. So how do I cope? Escapism.
I surround my space with different forms of fantasy/fiction books and media, where I can explore different worlds and interesting new creatures and characters. The brief time escaping into these expansive and fascinating stories allows me to stay calm and inspires my creativity. Eventually I began creating my own pieces through various mediums like digital programs, oil paintings, and charcoal drawings. While I sometimes make my own interpretation of mythological creatures in my own unique way, I focus on developing my own characters.
One matter in the real world the I have deeply cared about since childhood is the protection of animals, and our entire planet. A phrase that I was taught early on in life was “leave a place cleaner than you found it” and has become ingrained in almost every aspect of my life. By focusing on the need for environmental change in my work, I hope to educate the viewers and facilitate change in hopes of giving the future generation a cleaner and healthier world.

Her art journey began in her early college days, where she created sketches and works with pencils and digital programs like Clip Studio Paint. Since then, she has expanded her art to charcoal drawings and oil paintings. She also enjoys working with ceramics and textile pieces on the side.
